Bienvenidos a MIS REFLEXIONES!

I return to Zaragoza

Resultado de imagen de londresWell, it's finish. The end of these nice holidays. Today I return to my country. With the happy souvenir of my stay here, in London. I'll come back again, sure. London has a lot of places, a lot of activities, a lot of history to be here only a few days.

It has been a very interesting experience. Being with my daughter, fixing a lot of things in her flat, knowing a lot of sites...

For me, nothing compares the cultural activity in London. All days there are many shows, many meetings, many talks... You can't bore in London never.

At 13:25, the plane leaves to Zaragoza. And it lands at 4:40 (local hour). Now I'm going to catch the bus to Stansted. Bye, London!

Buying in the Turkish supermarket

In the beginning, when I came to London, I usually bought in Tesco. But with the daily experience I saw there were other places where I could buy my prefered food.

In this case a supermarket that I like too much is TFT-T that means Turkish Food Centre. All food that they have there is amazing and they have food with lots of flavor.

They sell Mediterranean food that is unusual to find it in other British supermarkets. In TFT you can find fresh bread, lamb, dry figs, vegetables, fruits... The price of all products is usually cheap.

Finally to say that the cashiers and all people that works there is very kind and warm. Congratulations TFT!

Watching Mad Max O.V.

Today I've gone to watch the film "Mad Max Fury Road" in the original version. It was a very strange experience because the actors spoke very fast and I didn't understand almost nothing.

Anyway the film is itself an extraordinary spectacle. A lot of special effects and a pace faster and faster by the minute. The argument was as follow:

In a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, two rebels just might be able to restore order: Max, a man of action and of few words, and Furiosa, a woman of action who is looking to make it back to her childhood homeland.

However, I think that the special effects aren't the most important thing. For me, the argument is weak and the history unbelievable.

Walking across the Bush wood

When someone like me has borned in a village, he often likes to go for a walk through the park.

Near home we've got a large park which its name is the Bush wood. Each time that I go there I am happy because there are a lot of trees, much grass and many animals. So, today I went to this park again.

British people take care of their parks. All vegetation is very clean and there isn't any waste around.

Animals are very quiet and no one do anything dangerous with them. Many people give them food.

There are many walks everywhere. You only have to follow the directions.

It's a pleasure to go for a walk to Bush Wood!

Mixture of cultures

When I go along the street, I see many different ways that people dress. There are Indian clothing, Bangladesh clothing, and others different ways to dress.

The British population is originally from many different countries. So, in many cases, they have their own style of life and their own culture. That's true, all the people use the same language of communication: English.  But among them they use their own language and, of course, they have their own native culture.

When the children of the immigrants will grow, are they will feel British people? I think in some cases  cases is very difficult to arrive at that.

At the moment, the behavior are very polite, but it could be possible that a spark will ignite all. I hope this is not going to happen.

Going to the European bookshop

Long time I needed an French book. It's name is: "Tu ne manque pas d'air", from Gallimard Editions.

So, today I have searched through Internet where was the shop and the answer was that the bookshop was at 5 Warnick Street. London

Then, I saw in Google maps the best way to go there, and again, the answer was accurate: take the Central Line to Holborn and there, change at Piccadilly line and stop in Piccadilly.

The day was rainy and I didn't have an umbrella, so I had to do my work faster than other times.

When I arrived to the bookshop, I tried to speak in my best English, but I wasn't with my mind clear and the seller said me if I was Spanish. Yes, I am, I said, and our conversation was easier.

I come back to the Natural Science Museum

Like I said, I expected to go back to the Natural Science Museum again to see more slowly the exhibition. I didn't forget this appointment.

So, today was the day. I took the Central Line again, to Holborn and after that I took the Piccadilly Line to South Kensington. Here, in London, with the subway is very easy to arrive at places.

This is a small photographic sample of the tour along the museum:

I first saw the dinosaurus seccion
Tyrannosaurus head

Extinct mammalian animal

Whale, rinoceronte, elephant, hippopotamus and giraffe. All of them dissected
The giraffe is the mammalian tallest animal

Enrolling at two interesting associations

Resultado de imagen de british interplanetary associationThere are two associations that I want to know better: The London Beekeepers Association and The British Interplanetary Society. They both organize differents events and anyone can subscribe like associated.

The problem is always the same: I need to have a very good English speaking and hearing level to understand the talks and other events that they do.

Resultado de imagen de london beekeepers associationThe only way that I know to reach that, is the inmersión. I need to find the different ways to be in a British environment all day hearing and speaking in English.

So, I'll try to be London Beekeeper associate because I think is the best way to start into a British atmosphere.

Other interesting way could be enrolling in a course at the University, but I have to investigate the amount payable and what kind of courses they've got.
